Staff Favorite!!! Meet Sam Handwich, the adventurous Staffordshire Terrier with a big heart and an even bigger head! This muscular, playful pup is always up for an adventure, whether it`s hiking through the woods, playing fetch at the park, or exploring new places. His friendly nature and boundless energy make him the perfect companion for any adventure. His love of car rides and spending time with you makes it so easy to bring him along.

Sam’s strong build and striking appearance are only matched by his sweet personality. While he loves to be adventurous out and about, he longs to be a sleepy cuddle bug at home. His foster family describe him as a happy guy who just wants to be a lap dog. He is very clever and in one weekend learned to “sit, “down”, and “give paw”. Sam enjoys being brushed but, like many of us, does not love going to the vet.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees range from $56-$86. This includes vaccines, flea/tick protection, health exam at local veterinary clinic, collar,leash, 50% discount on spay/neuter. Altering is done at the time of adoption, prior to the pet going home.
There is an application for adoption, a 24 hour hold and an adoption contract.

We are located in Williamsburg, VA. Our adoption center is open 6 days a week from 12 noon - 4:30 pm, and we are closed on Mondays for deep clean.
