My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ideal Home: With another friendly feline to show her the ropes

Qualities: Independent, Shy, Professional Cat Condo Inspector

Scrimmage, affectionately know as Scrimmy, is a 10.5 year old house panther who is looking for her forever valentine and a soft, gentle spot to spend her golden years. Scrimmy is a shy girl who will hang out in the room with you, but at a leisurely distance of course. You see, she spent most of her life outside but was very interested in the indoor life and all it has to offer. Since arriving at Ten Lives, she hasn't looked back on her past, but looking forward can be.a little scary for her. A patient adopter who will give her the space, support, and accept her for who she is would be a wonderful match for her. Maybe she will always be your 4 pawed companion who hangs out from afar, or maybe she will find her soulmate and come a little closer. The possibilities are endless, and someone to accept her either way is all she dreams of. A home with another friendly feline to continue to show her the ropes is a must, and we just know there is someone out there who the perfect match for Scrimmy!

A Forgotten Feline no more, we're committed to Scrimmy's happiness and success. Adoption applications are now available, and Scrimmy hopes you'll take a chance on her and fill one out today!

About Ten Lives:

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.

Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!

All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
