Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Zuzu, and her bestest forever friend George!
Starting with ZUZU! Don't let the small size of this torbie girl fool you - this little lady is FULL of love and purrs! A fan of tummy rubs and a motivated biscuit maker, Zuzu is a precious doll and sure to bring you snuggles and joy.
Zuzu comes from a stray colony deep in Kentucky, and was a very special Christmas day emergency. On December 23rd, an already tiny and sickly Zuzu gave birth to 6 kittens but began to struggle near the end of her labor. The caretaker of that colony reached out for help and on Christmas Eve, Zuzu was brought to an ER in Lexington where there was a concern she had retained kittens. Unfortunately, there was no surgeon available - so Zuzu ended up further north at an ER in Cincinnati that could spay her in the early hours of Christmas morning. She was then discharged to her foster home in Dayton, but the moment they walked into the door, the foster noticed Zuzu's gums were WHITE! Certainly not the White Christmas we were hoping for - Zuzu had gone into shock after her emergency spay and ended up right back at another ER in critical condition.
It has been a chaotic road to recovery for Zuzu, but things settled quite nicely after the colony's thoughtful caretaker informed us she had a dear kitty friend down in Kentucky who seemed to be missing her, which leads us to introduce you to GEORGE!
Don't let his large tomcat presence fool you - this sturdy orange gentleman is actually a timid little baby. Fast and frightened, but oh so sweet if you can grab him for a snuggle, with a purr like a semi-truck!
"He helped raise her kittens, and they walk side by side with their tails together," the caretaker of this Kentucky colony told us while wondering if we could take him, too. Of course we said yes, and thus the star-crossed lovers were reunited!
After George joined her, Zuzu only continued to improve. With the power of veterinary medicine and feline love, Zuzu and her bestie George are now looking for their forever home.
Zuzu and George are a package deal! They are a true bonded pair and cannot be adopted separately. They are both fixed, FeLV/FIV negative, and up to date on FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies vaccinations. They are estimated at just over 2 years old. Please note, Zuzu is very uncomfortable with loud noises and sudden movements, and does not do well around children. This sweet pair needs a calmer home with adults who understand and respect their need to feel safe and comfortable.
Included with the adoption are their spay and neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty!
