My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Hera! I am 1 year old and very playful and love soft beds. I love attention and being petted. My favorite spot in my foster’s house is by the window, I can sit there for hours watching the outdoors. I love the laser pointer toy and anything with catnip of course. My foster mom tells me I have a kind soul, but I do take time to warm up. I don’t really like dogs, however I definitely want to go to a home with another kitty. I absolutely need a friend, they help me to feel safe. I would do well in a calmer home but I am ok with kids. I’m looking for my furever home and hope it’s you!

Everyone MUST submit an application to be considered for adoption

Interview

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

Home Check

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

Pay Fee

We require that an adoption contract is signed by the main owner of the pet

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
