Saint was found abandoned in a home that had been under eviction approximately 30 days prior. Owners left him with no food and water and did not let the homeowner know of his existence. He was found at 6 pounds and he was severely emaciated. After emergency vet services and IV fluids he perked up and was very sweet.
We spent a year on private in home rehabilitation and paid for removal of some teeth that had gone bad due to the malnutrition he suffered. He gained his weight back and is a happy healthy loving cat. He loves humans and children, but has been seen to react negatively when exposed to other cats because of his prior home experience. Needs to be the only cat in home. We have not tested him with dogs, but if cats are any inclination, he may not be friendly to them either. His rescuer can't keep him due to medical decline. It saddens us, but we are now looking for a home for this sweet Saint. He actually loves the vet, and he is up to date medically. p>
