Meet Nelly, a precious fluffy girl with a sweet disposition that likely has predominantly Persian genes. Once she feels at home, Nelly is friendly, affectionate, and loves pets and attention. Curious and playful, she has a calm demeanor but enjoys batting around toys with wires, strings, or a catnip mouse. Her steady, rumbling purr is a testament to her contentment.
Nelly adores attention and would thrive in a family that can spend plenty of time with her. She's observant, calm, yet curious, and her foster mom believes she would make an outstanding office assistant, supervising computer time and providing quiet companionship. She loves snuggling and will readily climb into an available lap.
Nelly has stunning amber eyes and an almost "grumpy cat" expression, which contrasts with her genuinely sweet nature. Her fluffy multi-colored fur and bottle-brush tail are likely to become more plush and luxurious with regular care and a healthy diet. She will need grooming and her foster mom has been working hard to get through her thick coat so experience with this breed would be a huge plus.
Rescued after being abandoned, Nelly was found in Cairo. Thanks to a dedicated rescuer, she received the veterinary care she needed and a passport to travel to Northern Virginia. Now fully vetted, Nelly is an absolutely adorable kitty who will bring a smile to your face. Estimated to be just ***old, she would prefer to be the only feline in the family.
Having traveled all the way from Egypt in search of her forever family, Nelly is now fostered in Burke, VA. Her adopter should be willing to stay in touch with her rescuer, who formed a close bond with her. Nelly is sure to become a wonderful best friend for her new family.
