My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rudy is an active boy and a pro at fetch! Hes about a year and a half old and weighs around 45 pounds. Rudy is fostered by a professional dog trainer and will go to his forever home with excellent leash manners and basic obedience. Rudy gets along with well with other dogs but prefers those with good manners. He does not appreciate pushy, in-your-face-type dogs. Rudy has lived with cats in the past and can co-exist just fine, but may sometimes chase them (in a playful manner), so dog-savvy cats would be best. Rudy cannot live around chickens. Rudy (fka Rudolph) was part of our 2023 Christmas Litter, but his original home didnt work out at no fault of Rudys. SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
