My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ronette, affectionately nicknamed Tita—a stunning 3-year-old tan and white pit mix with ears for days! This lovely lady is the ultimate mix of cuddly and independent, making her the perfect companion for any home.

Tita’s foster family says she’s:

  • Fully potty trained

  • A pro cuddler who loves sleeping in bed with her people

  • Obsessed with toys and treats

  • Super smart and eager to learn new things

  • Walks well on a leash (with just a little excited pulling)

  • Crate trained but trustworthy roaming freely when home alone

Whether you’re looking for a playful buddy or a chill companion, Tita is happy to fit the bill. She’s ready to love and be loved in her forever home.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
