My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mia: An Energetic, Fun-Loving Queen Bee Ready to Rule Your Heart!

Mia is a spirited and playful 2-year-old girl with a big personality! She has a charming way of letting you know she’s ready for interaction—she’ll gently tap your arm or leg to request pets or playtime. She even enjoys belly rubs and is very easy to pick up. While Mia may start out shy when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for her to transform into a playful, attention-loving companion.

This confident and athletic girl thrives in an active environment. Mia’s favorite pastimes include chasing feather toys, racing up and down stairs, and leaping through the air like a professional acrobat. When she needs a break, she’ll quickly flop onto the floor to recharge before diving back into the fun. Mia’s foster mom describes her as "play hard, rest hard." Mia will be a happy, fulfilled cat with regular play and plenty of mental stimulation.

Mia would do best as the center of attention in her forever home. She may get along with younger, playful male cats willing to let her call the shots, but she’s not a fan of senior cats. She hasn’t been introduced to dogs or children, but her energy and love of attention suggest she could adapt well to a home with respectful kids who can help her stay active and entertained.

Mia’s playful quirks and unique personality make her truly one of a kind. From her cute “joker face” smile during pets to her adorable bowlegged “tough girl” walk, she’ll keep you smiling and laughing daily. If you’re looking for an energetic, social, and loving companion who will brighten your life, Mia might be your perfect match!

Could Mia be the queen of your castle? The first step is to submit an adoption application (https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application). All adopters must live within 45 miles of Stamford, CT.

Go meet their pets

We don't have a shelter, but some Friends of Felines' cats and kittens are having sleepovers at Just Cats in Stamford or in foster homes. Friends of Felines is also proud to partner with Just Cats Veterinary Hospital, which has been providing veterinary care in our area since 1991. Their facility at 1029 East Main Street in Stamford has an adoption area inside the Just Cats Store on the first level. The Just Cats store and adoption area are open from 8am - 6pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 2 pm Saturday. If you would like to schedule a meet-and-greet with any of our cats or kittens, please start by filling out an application (available online at www.fofct.org).
