My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Derrick is a lively and lovable brown tabby with a personality as vibrant as his striking coat of swirling stripes. This fun little guy is always up for an adventure, whether it’s chasing toy mice, batting at feather wands, or pouncing on imaginary prey. His playful energy is contagious, and he has a knack for turning even the simplest moments into a game. Derrick’s bright eyes and curious nature make him a joy to watch as he explores his world with endless enthusiasm.

When the fun is over, Derrick’s softer side shines through. He’s a champion cuddler who adores curling up with his favorite humans for some well-earned relaxation. His warm purrs and gentle snuggles make every moment together feel extra special. Equal parts spirited and sweet, Derrick is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a mix of fun and affection in a feline friend.

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
