UPDATE 9/7/10: Meet Liza, a beautiful 1-2 year old Calico.

Lisa is a young cat, but she's seen a lot in her life so far. Volunteers took Liza into rescue when someone called, saying Liza had given birth to kittens in their chiminea! When volunteers came to Liza's rescue, they could see that she was not feral. Liza was someone's cat at one time, but whoever that was had stopped caring for her and she was on her own now.

Liza and her kittens were immediately placed into a foster home. In her foster home, Liza has shown what a loving mother she is. She cares for her kittens like no other cat we've seen. She protects them, feeds them and cleans them. She even took 4 other kittens under her wing for us, nursing them and all!

Liza's kittens are getting lined up for homes now. After that, Liza will be spayed and ready for a home that will love and take care of her for the rest of her life. Could that be your home?

Liza is a petite cat, around 8 pounds. She has lovely, soft, colorful fur. Sometimes she mumbles to talk to you. She likes to be pet, but not really picked up. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up to you. Soft food is the way to this lady's heart! Liza is healthy and litterbox trained also.
