Olive is an adorable 1-year-old Terrier Pit mix who’s ready to find her forever family! She’s a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she’s eager to become the best companion. Olive loves to run and play, and while she’s still learning to walk perfectly on a leash, she’s improving every day! She’s already mastered “sit” and is super treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze. Olive is looking for a family who will help her continue learning new tricks and give her all the love she deserves. she is heartworm positive but don`t let that stop you from taking this sweet pup home, we offer discount treatment at the HSSM clinic. olive is up to date on all of her vaccines and is ready to meet her furever family!

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
