Mia is a beautiful 7-year-old girl with an all-white coat and a heart full of love to share. Despite her age, Mia’s energy level strikes the perfect balance—she’s playful and lively without being overwhelming. She’s a sweet and gentle soul who thrives on human connection, making her an ideal companion for someone seeking a loyal and affectionate best friend.
Since moving into her foster home, Mia has truly blossomed. Her foster family has discovered her love for cozy blankets, snuggling on the couch, and being close to her people. Whether it’s cuddling up during TV time or lounging nearby while her humans go about their day, Mia is happiest when she’s part of the action.
Mia also has a playful side and adores her floppy, long toys, which she loves to toss around with enthusiasm. Her foster family notes that one of her most endearing traits is the range of quiet, quirky sounds she makes—a polite but expressive way of letting you know she’s happy or curious.
She gets excited when her foster family comes home, greeting them with joyful wiggles and tail wags. However, this excitement sometimes makes her a little wiggly when it’s time to put on her collar for a walk. Once she’s ready to go, Mia walks well on a leash and responds to gentle guidance to keep her pace steady.
Mia recently visited an urban farm and was curious about the goats behind a fence. However, when the goats remained at a distant, she became more interested in the grass smells. On a snowy day, Mia had a fantastic time enjoying some playful zoomies, adding energy and excitement to the wintery scene.
Mia is house-trained and has settled into the routine of foster life beautifully. She appreciates having a cozy spot to call her own. Her foster family describes her as a joy to have around—a companion who makes every day brighter with her affectionate nature and charming personality. Mia is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention and share her love with a family who will cherish her. Mia has met other dogs at the shelter, she does best with tolerant and playful friends. She can be too overwhelming for gentle playmates.
Mia qualifies for a waived adoption fee because of her age, but don’t let that number fool you—this fabulous girl has plenty of energy and love to give. If you’d like to meet Mia and experience her sweetness firsthand, please email dogfosters@barcs.org to connect with her foster family and arrange a meetin
