My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Furbie

When it comes to confidence, Furbie is cool as they come and everyone knows it. This 83-pound shepherd mix is four years old and is all the fun you could ever want in a furry friend!

Furbie is currently enjoying some much needed R&R with his awesome foster dad! Not only is Furbie house-trained and crate-trained, he's also great with other pups! Looking for a friend for your dog? Furbie's your man! He loves hanging out with his fur foster brother and we think he'd do well with another pup his size.

Furbie is a pup that's always up for good time. He never misses a chance to play tug of war and has yet to pass up any toys or treats for that matter. He's always wiling to show off his commands including "sit, off, down and paw" for a scrumptious snack. Furbie will thrive in a home where he can be exercised daily and be part of the action. He will benefit from continued training in his new home and we know he will make you proud! A fenced-in yard that he can explore is a must for this happy-go-lucky boy.

At the end of a fun-filled day, this goofy guy enjoys all the couch time he can get. Just look at his photos! This boy was made to snuggle! Then it's off to bed where sleeps quietly through the night. If you're looking for someone to keep you warm these cold winter nights, Furbie will happily volunteer for that job!

Based on our evaluation, we feel Furbie would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages twelve and up. We feel he has the capability to live in a home with other dogs as he has done well with them in his foster home. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby! Furbie does have a prey drive so a home with no cats or small animals is ideal.

If you think he could be your next best friend, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today to submit your application for our fabulous Furbie!
