If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Our family adopted Luna as a puppy from a DMV area rescue. Her mother was rescued and had the puppies in foster. We took her home at about 2 months old. She is 18 months old as of March 2025. She is crate trained and house trained.
She is very sweet and loves to snuggle up with her family. She can be sassy and talk back with her husky voice when she feels like it.
She has a TON of energy and loves going on walks, runs, hikes, pretty much any outdoor activity. She LOVES to pull if she's strapped into a harness. She walks well on a slip lead or prong collar.
She doesn't know her own strength, which is why she should go to a family without young children as she can play rough.
She gets along with some dogs and doesn't with others.
She is spayed as well as up to date with all shots.
