Meet Picachu, aka “Chuy," a handsome boy with lot of personality! His striking coat makes him look like a little wildcat. He loves to play hard, growling excitedly as he pounces on his toys, and once he’s had his fun, he proudly carries his "prey" around like a true wildcat! He is a bit shy at first and will need time to adjust. Once he feels comfortable, he adores being petted all over and will often push himself in front of other cats to snag some extra affection. Just say “Chuy, pet pet?” and he will come to you and lie on the floor, all in the hopes of getting closer to you for those coveted pets. With time, once he allows you to pet him, he will consent to being picked up if you say "Chuy up!" after a few pets. He may even keep purring, and he will allow you to put him in your lap and stay there.
Words to Describe Me: Sweet, seeks out attention, playful, not dominant, skittish with new people
Favorite Place to Sleep: cat tree at the moment, but he likes to lay next to people so I think he will work up to sleeping next to someone
Favorite Toy: Wand toys, small mice and balls with rattles and bells that you throw for him to chase. He carries them around after he captures them, and growls when he is playing hard!
Perfect Day: Starts with morning pets and a treat (lickable treat or temptations), playtime with wand toy so he can run and hunt, playtime with cat friends, more treats, lots of pets and practicing being picked up and held,
Kitty's Likes: Head and chin scratches, body pets, talking to him, treats - very food motivated!
Kitty's Dislikes: being chased or picked up quickly , getting belly rubs but will sometimes allow it
Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: A good long petting, treats
Favorite Treat: lickable treats, temptations (shake the box and he will come to you and take treats one at a time from your hand)
