My name is Essie!

Hello, my name is Essie, and I am a sweet and loving cat. I’m happiest when I’m lounging beside my person, soaking up all the affection and purring away. If you’re across the room, don’t worry, you’ll hear my happy purrs. While I’m super chill and calm, I do have my playful moments! I’m not a big jumper, though. My favorite place to relax is a comfy chair, preferably in a sunny spot. I’ve previously lived with another cat and a dog, and we got along just fine. I’m a people cat at heart. I thrive on human company and will happily greet your friends and guests with purrs when they visit.
I’m also a curious kitty and love scratching on my pad or post. Wet food is my favorite treat. When I’m not curled up next to you, you’ll find me basking in a sunny spot, enjoying the warmth.
Oh, and I should mention that I tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). But don’t worry, it doesn’t affect humans or other animals. FIV is specific to cats and is spread through bites, but I’m a calm, affectionate girl who’s just looking for a loving, peaceful home.
