Meet our affectionate orange boy named Artemis, or Arty for short! Artemis is about 1.5 years old and he was surrendered to our shelter when his owners could no longer care for him. He is a friendly, young cat who just wants some attention and play time. He loves to bat around toys, play with cat wants, and roll around in cat nip. Artemis likes to be pet and will head bump your hand for more pet time. He is a nice cat who deserves to have a great family of his own! We don't know how Artemis is with other cats right now, but we think he may enjoy a cat buddy. He can go to a home with children 12 years old and older.
Artemis does need to be on a prescription dry food diet to prevent his body from forming urinary crystals. An all canned food diet would work for him as well. He really likes the prescription food he has been eating and he has not had any issues since starting the food.

You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
