If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bertie is a sweet, loyal girl who loves to cuddle and play. She loves to watch the street from the front window, and she rarely barks when she does so. She is very very eager to please her owners. She always obeys commands, and loves to walk and run. She can run trails without a leash, but running or walking also works well on-leash. If walking isn't an option, Bertie would also do well with a closed in yard where she could run around a bit on her own. This is how she gets her exercise currently. She is fully house trained and uses an open crate as her home base and bed and we close the crate at night. Usually sleeps half the day. Food motivated while training. Never counter-surfs.
Bertie was raised from a puppy alongside a 6-pound mini schnauzer sister. They never fight, however they are always in a state of competition and jealousy against each other, which makes them not a good match. Bertie would do better solo or with a big dog. This is why we decided to rehome her.
