We know looks aren’t everything…but wow, Aida is an absolute stunner! Beyond her gorgeous appearance, she’s as sweet as can be—just a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly with some treats and a little love. When we met Aida, she wasn’t sure what to inspect first, but she made sure to show off her perfect sit before we even asked! Then, she scrunched up as close as possible, soaking in all the pets and affection. Aida’s journey to safety is thanks to some kind humans and maybe a little help from a taco truck. She doesn’t look like she was out on her own for too long. She’s healthy, happy, and so ready for a loving home!

*Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

*The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

*All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

*Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
