Meet Houdini, the clever 2-year-old German Shepherd from Okanogan County, and brother to the lovely Queenie. With his sharp mind and friendly disposition, Houdini is eager to escape into a loving forever home.
About Houdini:
Breed: German Shepherd
Age: 2 years
Gender: Male
Intelligence: Very Smart - True to his name, Houdini is an escape artist with both mind and paws!
Personality:
Houdini is not just smart; he's wonderfully good with both kids and other dogs, making him an excellent addition to any family. His intelligence means he's quick to learn and eager for mental challenges, but it also means he's adept at finding his way out of places he shouldn't be!
Socialization:
With Dogs: He gets along famously with his canine counterparts.
With Kids: Houdini has a gentle side that makes him great with children, showing patience and playfulness.
Special Considerations:
Mental Stimulation: His cleverness requires activities that keep his mind engaged, like puzzle toys, training sessions, or dog sports.
Escape Artist: A secure yard and perhaps some extra training for recall or obedience will be necessary to keep Houdini from living up to his namesake in unwanted ways.
Ideal Home:
Houdini would do wonderfully in a home that:
Offers Activity: A family that enjoys an active lifestyle, providing him with ample exercise and mental games.
Has Fenced Spaces: To keep this intelligent boy safe and sound, a well-secured yard is a must.
Is Social: A home where he can interact with kids or other dogs would be ideal, given his social skills.

More about this rescue
501c3 non-profit l est 2019 l
We have been fostering dogs since early 2019 through various rescues.
What better way to showcase them then in a playful, happy, loving environment with other loving dogs in our community.
Recently we have started changing things as we are looking for our pups to go into foster homes/foster to adopt.
We typically fly dogs in from over capacity shelters in Texas, drive puppers over from Yakima, and still have an amazing relationship with a partnering rescue in Mexico.
