My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated: 29JAN25

**Snoop's Updated Profile:**

Breed: German Shepherd (GSD) mix

**A Bit of History:** Snoop's journey began when he was rescued by Team Memphis Rescue and Support from a high-kill shelter, where he quickly mastered the art of puppy eyes to win hearts. After finding a loving family, he enjoyed two wonderful years before being returned due to a personal family situation—definitely no fault of his own. His dad and little girl are heartbroken, but Snoop is ready to show the world that every dog deserves a forever home for real this time—preferably with a side of treats!

**Health:** Snoop is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered, ensuring that he is healthy and ready for his next adventure. He loves coconut oil, receiving a quarter-sized ball daily, which helps his skin and coat.

**Training:** He is very kennel trained and house trained, making him a well-behaved companion. When strangers come to the door, he knows to kennel up on command and does so willingly. He’s eager to learn and enjoys engaging with his humans, so continued training and positive reinforcement will help him thrive in a new environment. Snoop is great at listening—if he gets too excited with his canine friend, Gracie, all it takes is a gentle reminder to "kennel up," and he heads to his bed.

**The Perfect Companion:** Snoop is not just any dog; he’s a goofy and playful canine companion! He loves to make everyone laugh with his silly antics. Whether he's chasing after his tail, doing zoomies around the yard, or sneaking away tissues for a game of "catch me if you can," he always brings joy and laughter to those around him. Just be mindful—while he uses tissues for attention, if you don't catch him, he might munch on them!

**The Perfect Playmate:** Snoop is great with kids and has previously loved meeting other dogs. In fact, he currently lives with another dog, Gracie, and absolutely loves it! He does get a bit overexcited at times, but a simple "no, gentle" will have him showering you with kisses instead. He’s the dog version of a social butterfly... or maybe a social German Shepherd! He particularly loves men and enjoys their company.

**Sneaky Shenanigans:** Get ready for some laughs because Snoop is a sneaky boy when it comes to tissues, napkins, and paper towels! For him, it's a game of stealth and mischief. He’ll sneak them away, and if you don’t catch him in time, well, they might just become his tasty snack! He also has a playful rivalry with the vacuum and should be kenneled during cleaning time. Plus, he has a funny habit of jumping into the shower while you're cleaning, so kennel supervision is a must!

**Overall Personality:** Snoop does very well in his kennel for extended periods but prefers to stay out most of the time. He does not tear things up and is not aggressive toward other dogs, making him a fantastic companion. Snoop loves a lot of attention and is particularly gentle with small dogs, making him an ideal addition to any loving family.

Snoop is ready to strut his stuff and find a loving forever home that will truly be his last. Get ready for some serious tail-wagging, goofy moments, and puppy cuddles! He’s the perfect companion waiting to bring joy and love to a new family!
