My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remember the elementary school game “Marco Polo”, where a blindfolded player shouts “Marco?” and tries to find the other players who shout “Polo!” in response? Well, you don’t have to play, because Polo is right here waiting for you at PACC! No games, no complications, just a sweet senior gentleman waiting patiently for you to find him!

Polo spent his whole life in one home but was surrendered to the shelter when he was injured and needed vet care. His former family said that he did well kids and small dogs and was housetrained. They described him as affectionate and playful, and said he loves playing in the hose.

Here’s what volunteers have said about this gentle fella:

“Polo is a very mellow guy and was easily leashed up and not reactive to
other dogs as we left the kennel area. He walked with a loose leash. He took treats very gently from my hand and leaned in close to me to be petted. He was just so easy!”

“This cute guy with his squishy face and mild demeanor is irresistible. He’s super easy to handle, loves treats and takes them gently, is mellow, adorable and goofy, and his tail is always wagging! He can often be found snoozing and has the best snore. He’s just a big, sweet softy who adores being loved and pampered. Polo is full of life and love and he’s hoping someone will give him a second chance to be his best friend.”

Polo shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a goof it. If you can help this deserving senior citizen, please ask to meet him today!!
