Hi! I'm Boaz (Bo!), a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd. I'm neutered and heartworm positive (treatment has begun!). My foster dad found me on the streets, and I'm now a healthy 50 lbs and a total sweetheart!
I'm still learning how to "dog," but I'm a quick learner. I'm good with other dogs (though a bit shy at first), adore my 12-year-old foster human, and am potty/leash trained (left side preferred!). I even use bells to tell my foster family when I need to go outside!
I need a fenced yard – it's a potty thing. Inside, I'm well-behaved, don't destroy anything, and stay off furniture. I'm getting used to affection (head kisses, ear rubs!), and while I'm a grazer with food, we're working on regular meals. Short car rides are okay, but long ones make me anxious.
I get excited and squeaky with my barbell toy, and might bark at strangers or fence friends. But mostly, I'm chill. I'm not protective or territorial, and I'm just looking for a loving family.
I'd love another dog my age to help me learn the ropes. If you're patient and loving, I might be your perfect companion! Please visit our site at https://www.jennisrescueranch.org/ for more information on how to adopt. Prior to inquiring about our animals, we highly encourage you to fill out an application so that we can better assist you.
