Felix has grown into such a handsome dog! We pulled Felix from a kill shelter in January of 2025, he was a 6 month old pup that didn't get the right family the first time around. We were happy to break him out and give him his second chance at life!
While Felix has had a lot of interest in his time with us, he has not had a family commit to taking him home. Felix is incredibly smart and energetic, and often times the ones interested in him decide he is too much for them to handle for one reason or another. In his time with us he has learned how to play fetch like a pro! As well as commands like sit, down, and even touch! We're telling you, he is incredibly smart! On top of his big brain, he has an even bigger heart! Felix is very affectionate and just loves to be with his friends, even if he is off playing with his toy, he just likes to know that you are close by.
He LOVES other dogs, but can be a rough player, so he can be overbearing for dogs that don't match his play style. That said, he does take corrections from other dogs very well. He would certainly love to have another doggy friend in the home, but it is not necessary for him to go home with another dog. While Felix is very friendly with people, he is still a bit of an overgrown puppy who likes to use his mouth, so teenage aged children would be more appropriate for him!
We know in the right home he will truly thrive and become one of the best furry companions that you have ever had! Ready to find your next adventure buddy? Felix is your guy! He is an A+ passenger in the car and loves exploring anywhere new. 2026 is his year, we just know it!!
