My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello new friends! My name is Honey! As my name suggests, I`m a very sweet girl. I love being with my people and getting lots of attention - I`m a little tank of wiggly affection! I love to get neck scratches, cuddle close, run, play... as long as I can be with you, I love whatever we`re doing! I`m smart too - I already know sit and shake, and I`m eager to learn more fun tricks! I am a bit strong and do pull on my leash, so my caregivers here at TCRAS have been helping me learn some leash manners. I would love a family who can help me continue to be the best girl I can be! Will you give me a chance to be yours?

If you would like to know more about me or are interested in meeting me, please call TCRAS at 719-686-7707 to set up an appointment!

Additional adoption info

To adopt:
All adoptions must be done in person. Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable animals you would like to consider. TCRAS is open 6 days a week, please see hours of operation.

Your visit with each animal will be assisted by a trained adoption specialist to answer questions, address concerns and to help you decide if the animal is a good fit for your home environment (i.e. children, other pets, specific needs, etc). You can also bring in your current pets to do a visitation (this may be required with certain animals).

In the year 2000, the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) was formed and continued under this leadership to the present day. Our shelter is a small, rural shelter. Every year, over 800 lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and cats get assistance from TCRAS. We do not euthanize for time or space.
