My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simone la Chèvre was named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She carries the torch for her namesake, USA gymnastics Olympic champion, and GOAT, Simone Biles. Our Simone wears her two gold medals in the glint of her yellow gold eyes when she gives you warm ‘winky eyes’. Olympic precious metal can also be found at the tip of her floofy tail with silver strands streaking through the black and auburn and white. More gold glows when the sun’s radiance hits the auburn patches of her silky calico fur on her side and tail. She is lithe and graceful and likes to vault from a favorite high perch to stick a landing on your shoulder to ask for a cuddle and kiss. She loves to race up the cat tree after her siblings to claim the top spot. She will seek you out if she has not had any people time. She loves to play with any toy at the end of the fishing pole and does not mind to be hauled up and kissed and put on your shoulder or plopped down for couch cuddling time even if she was wrestling with her brother or sister… but not if Squirrel TV is on, she is super focused.

Born: 5/2/2024

Background and Description: Simone’s mom, Lee “Mama Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for Simone and her two siblings in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, cars, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, car, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. A cat mom who had adopted her first fur baby from Meowtown was leaving the gym at the Texas Health Science Center one evening. She had just graduated and was soon to leave to begin her residency in another state. Walking to her car, she spotted the little family in the parking garage. That feline family won the lottery that night as that med student and her med student friends made it their mission to get them safe and cared for.
