My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am playful and cute!

I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!

A volunteer writes: I have not been able to get my mind off of Arquette since meeting him. He has me wrapped around his finger and I'm not mad about it. When I go to take him out, he's slumbering deeply and I have to lightly touch him with my leash to get his attention. He has sign on his kennel indicating he may be a bit slower moving, and while I can't say that he's speedy by any means, he's faster than I anticipated and so excited to get some relief from his kennel. During our hang in the yard, he stays close, pushing his 80 pound body into mine, demanding snuggles when I let him go. At first he snubs the treats I have to offer, but eventually, decides that they're worthy, taking them greedily from my hands a little like a gremlin.

Arquette was found wandering near the Major Deegan with no leash or collar. When his finder approached, he readily got into their car. Upon arrival, he needed a little human assistance to get out of the car, the drop being too steep for this land manatee. Arquette has been overwhelmingly quiet, keeping to himself during his stay. While we don't know how he is with other dogs, he has not been reactive and observes them without issue. Arquette is a dog that I'll be thinking about even long after he leaves our care. I just hope he gets that chance, soon! Ask to meet him.
