My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peach! Dubbed the Princess of love, this peachy girl is ready to turn your life into a rainbow of laughter, joy and amazing memories. If you've ever wanted a dog who will happily trot along your side (or your heels!) look no further!

Office day? No problem! Travel day for work? Pshh, that's the BEST! Lazy day at home? YES PLEASE! Rock collecting at the beach? Sign me up!

Peach is ready to accompany you on all your grand (and not so grand) adventures. She is the sweetest little BFF, and makes you feel SO special with her ultimate joy and affection! She happily brings you her best toys, making the funniest huffs while she parades them around!

Peach came from a property where she and her sister Rosie, were alone for quite some time, only having food tossed at them from neighbors. Eventually working their way into our care, these girls were terrified and needed a lot of extra reassurance and guidance to find comfort. Hot dogs and Cheese really did the trick, and once they shed that initial fear, they have made amazing leaps!

Peach LOVES the ladies who care for her, and is learning men are fun too!

Peach seems to enjoy the company of those dogs, and would LOVE to go to a home with her sister Rosie, however for the right home they could go individually!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
