Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT FELONEIGH
Despite her incriminating name, this girl is a total sweetheart! Feloneigh is a a 2-year-old husky mix with lots of love to give. She came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana when they no longer had space for her. She quickly rose to fame among our staff and volunteers for her affectionate personality and gentle demeanor. Feloneigh enjoys hanging with people, cuddling, and afternoon strolls. She has made some doggy friends, though she can get retreat if pups come on too strong, so a dog that like to sniff and say hello properly before playtime is best! She already knows basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash, making her a wonderful companion to adventure with! Feloneigh has participated in our Doggy Day Out program, check out what our volunteers have to say about her:
"Spent my first DDO with the best cuddle bug Feloneigh! The first thing she did when we got to the apartment was straight to the bed, she snuggled the whole time!! She was the best girly - she likes watching Bluey and got endless kisses and belly rubs!!" - Kelly
"I had Feloneigh for the day! What a DREAM of a dog. She is extremely gentle and loves to give kisses. She’s definitely more on the skittish side and tends to prefer to stick close with you, but she responds well to reassurance. She is very calm in the car. We took a 3 mile walk around Rockford Park - she did great on the leash with no pulling. She loves making eye contact with the person walking her. During walks she will sometimes pause and gently put her paws up on you, and if you sit down with her she just wants to cover your face with kisses. After our walk we spent some time in my apartment for cuddles and snacks and she was super calm and well behaved. She settles herself down nicely without prompting. Feloneigh is such a loving, sweet girl and just needs someone who can help her gain a little confidence! She seems like she would do well with a family looking for a dog who can handle both high- and low-activity days!" - Julia
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
