Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oni came into rescue with a couple of other dogs. The lady who brought them to us said they were being sold in the parking lot of a Walmart. She offered the people some money and got the dogs. They were all in terrible shape and were matted, very underweight and anemic. The lady said she couldn't leave them there like that but she also couldn't keep them long term either. She got them clipped up (Oni's coat is still growing out)and asked us if we could find them a loving home. Of course, we said we would because they all deserved a home where they are get spoiled rotten. Oni is the last of the group looking for a home. The lady did not know their ages so we asked the vet to guesstimate. They thought that Oni was about seven years old and we were told that she is a yorkiepoo. She is absolutely adorable and has really perked up since being with us and is showing us how smart and loving she is. She initially was pretty lethargic and weak but she's always raring to go now! She loves to be with her people and her canine friends. She snuggles and waits patiently to go into her crate at night and to be put out in the morning. She is quite well behaved. Oni is crate trained but we make no guarantees about housebroken. She has gotten along well with our other small dogs and does well with older kids. She should be fine with cats but we don't have any to test her with. She loves her food but i guess if you were practically starved to death, you would love it too! She enjoys living in comfort and being spoiled. Oni saw the vet on 1/14/25 and was spayed and brought current on her yearly care. She weighed 7.2 pounds as of 1/14/25. She was heartworm negative but was fecal negative also. She was started on Simparica Trio for heartworm prevention and flea control. Oni was found to have an ear infection so we treated her with Claro Otic which is supposed to be a one and done antibiotic. She was not found to have any other medical issues on her exam. She is a sweet girl who will make a wonderful, snuggly companion!

Oni's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Oni based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for her, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.
