My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoebe is a a gorgeous young female Mal who is currently chipped and her former owners never came to pick her up. She has a R front leg lameness of unknown cause but that is not stopping her. She still has a high prey drive and a can do attitude. She has an on and off switch. Her on switch involves short brisk walks until she has a follow up with a vet. Her off switch involved her head resting in your lap. She is a cuddle bug. Per the shelter, she is good with kids. She is crate training and able to sleep thru the night. She does have mild separation anxiety as she is currently decompressing. She loves her toys and is the most grateful dog I've ever seen. She needs her person.

After a successful Home Visit the applicant is eligible to review available dogs and talk to state coordinators about making a good match.

All MAD dogs are UTD and spayed or neutered. An adoption fee will apply to any dog that is adopted after completing the above process.

Mission Statemet
Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.
