My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Orbitz!

Orbitz entered Los Angeles Animal Care and Control's Lancaster Shelter as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on January 14th to become a Frosted Face. Orbitz is estimated to be 8 years old and weighs 56 lbs.

Orbitz joined volunteers and another Frosted Face on a hike and earned a rave review for being an amazing hiking buddy that did great sharing the trail! Our volunteer also reported:

* Orbitz rides nicely in the car, and he hops in and out like it’s nothing!

* He walked well on a leash, overcoming his initial excitement to stop pulling. Once they settled into a rhythm, Orbitz was a perfect hiking buddy. They covered 2.5 miles, but he could have gone further.

* Orbitz gives sweet kisses!

We learned even more about Orbitz when he went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so he could spend time in a home environment. Orbitz's Fling Dad describes him as a great balance of active and affectionate, ready to join in on your daily activities while always happy to chill when it’s time to unwind. Whether you're taking a walk, playing fetch, or doing yoga, Orbitz is there for the fun, but he also knows how to relax and enjoy a good snuggle session.

More insights from Orbitz's Fling Dad:

Couch & Bed Etiquette: Orbitz waits for an invitation to join you on the couch or bed, but he’s just as content in his own comfy spot.

Well-Mannered: He knows the “sit” command and is a quick learner, especially since he’s motivated by food and treats.

Morning Snoozer: Orbitz is a pro at sleeping in as long as he gets his potty break before bed. Early risers, take note – he’s a good sleeper!

Tummy Rubs & Ear Scratches: He’s all about the love when it comes to belly rubs and behind-the-ear scratches. Check out Orbitz's photos - he is SO affectionate and loving with everyone!

If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and polite companion, Orbitz could be your perfect match!
