My name is Leroy!

Leroy is an extremely bright and loving dog. He plays very well with our French bulldog. He is crate trained and good on a leash. Leroy has a real fun personality and makes us smile every day. He also spends a lot of time running in our backyard. He loves to play with a ball. Unfortunately, he has very extreme guarding behaviors. At times he might guard one of our children toys that he thinks is his prize possession and can bite if someone tries to go near him or grab it. he also will do this with his treats or a bone. We tried to be really careful about having treats out with the children because we worried he might bite them accidentally. He always feels very remorseful if he does bite. I know he knows it is not right, but unfortunately instinct takes control. Fortunately, this only happened a few times but at the point where I worry that it could happen to the kids and cause a lot of pain or damage. I think an experienced dog owner would be a great fit for Leroy.
