We adopted Oreo from the local dog warden after he had been there for 8 months or so. He is a friendly, playful dog. They estimated him to be 3 to 4 years old, and a bully mix of some kind. We believe he may be some mix of boxer and heeler but it's just a guess.
Oreo is the sweetest, happiesth boy. He is great with our children but has displayed concerning food aggression towards our very young grandchild and we do not want the behavior to escalate and end in injury as training is not a financial option.
Oreo very rarely has accidents, and does ok on a leash. He does pull a bit with a collar but less so with a harness. He doesn't bark often, and greets visitors in a friendly manner. He would probably be best in a household with older children. We were told he is dog selective but we have no other pets. He has barked at the neighborhood cats but playfully, and we are not sure how he would interact with one in the home.
