My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I`m Pop! I wasn`t always a shelter dog, you know. Once upon a time, I was a magician`s assistant. Yes, you heard right, a magician! We`d perform tricks that would leave audiences gasping. One day, we tried a new trick - `The Vanishing Dog`. Alas, the trick worked too well, and I ended up here. Don`t fret, I`m not sad. I`m a clever, friendly chap who loves company. I`ve seen the magic in people`s hearts and I`m waiting for someone with a heart as big as mine. Want to know an easy way to win me over? Give me butt scritches and watch the magic happen! Adopt me, and let`s create our own magic together. I like my independence, so my friends at the shelter recommend that any children in my new home are age 5 or older so they can understand my boundaries. I am selective of the other dogs I share my space with, so I am required to participate in a dog introduction with potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home to see if my new friend and I will be a good match.
