My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oliver (affectionately known as "Ollie") is a majestic 5-year old male kitty who was surrendered to HSOV on December 15, 2024 with his best friend Sophie Mae for a very sad reason .. Their mistress (who had loved them dearly) was in hospice care and could no longer take care of her beloved cats .. And she passed away a few days later knowing that Ollie and Sophie Mae were safely in our shelter and would be loved by our kennel techs and eventually would find another special someone to give them a good home.

Ollie has a buff-colored short smooth coat in a tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with dark gold/bronze eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. His birthday is March 5, 2019.

Ollie has a super friendly, outgoing personality.

Ollie was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on December 15, 2024. He is a chunky boy who weighed 21 lbs that day. Ollie was given booster vaccines on December 29, 2024.

These photos of Ollie were taken on January 4, 2025 while he enjoyed some out-of-cage time and pussyfooted around our Receiving/Intake Room. Ollie is quite the social butterfly and took the opportunity to interact with kennel techs as well as a few feline friends.

Ollie has already been neutered.

Ollie and Sophie Mae are being listed as a Bonded Pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. Sophie Mae especially depends upon Ollie for a sense of comfort/security. They are sharing a small cage and are truly soulmates. And with all longtime couples, Sophie Mae can be a bit sassy with Ollie if he's doing something to annoy her. Thanks to HSOV Lead Feline Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton for that observation (smile).

Ollie and Sophie Mae are litterbox trained, and they get along with other cats.

Note: Ollie and Sophie Mae went home with a foster mother on February 5, 2025 so that they may enjoy a real home environment instead of a shelter cat tower. They are still available for adoption.
