My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Benton, AR
DOB 12/09/2020

Meet Lucy, the ultimate Velcro dog and your soon-to-be best friend! This 3-year-old Great Dane x Great Pyrenees mix is as sweet as they come. Lucy’s mission in life is to stay close to her humans, following them around the house and soaking up every bit of love and attention she can get. Snuggles and pets? She’ll never say no to those!

Lucy doesn’t just love her people—she’s a social butterfly who considers everyone she meets a friend. Whether it’s humans, dogs, or even cats, she greets everyone with her signature gentle charm. While she hasn’t spent much time around little humans, Lucy has been a hit with older kids and adults alike, so she’d do best in a home with kids 10 and up.

When it comes to training, Lucy’s a work in progress. She needs some help with basic commands and leash manners (her pancake move on walks is both adorable and a little stubborn). But with patience, love, and dedication, she’ll blossom into a wonderfully obedient companion.

Lucy has a few quirks, like allergies and some hair loss, but don’t let that fool you—this girl is otherwise healthy, happy, and ready to roll. She’s already crate trained, house trained, and a rockstar travel buddy once you help her into the car. Road trips and adventures? Count her in!

Lucy is looking for a home that will embrace her affectionate nature, quirky personality, and give her the care and love she deserves. If you’re ready for a loyal, loving, and endlessly cuddly companion, Lucy is ready to fill your life with joy!

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
