Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Moose and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 2 year 2 month old, male, Akita mix who came to SB Humane from Pasadena in search of a loving family to call my own.
I have a heart of gold and can't wait to share my big, bright smile with you. I get along great with my doggy pals here at the shelter and absolutely love meeting new people. I’m eager to learn and ready for some fun training sessions! With a few treats and some gentle praise, I pick up new skills quickly—I'm a fast learner and always excited to show off what I can do.
Right now, I’m working on some awesome tricks like “roll over,” “pretty,” “back up,” “weave,” and “paw,” and I'm doing great! I'm loyal, playful, and a bit goofy when it comes to playtime. If you’re looking for a loving, charming, and intelligent companion, I’d be the perfect addition to your family. I’m also comfortable in my crate and do well with it, so no worries there!
If you want a fun, smart, and sweet friend to brighten your days, I’d love to meet you! Let’s make some memories together!
Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.
When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
