My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady Marmalade's adoption fee has been SPONSORED! There is no fee to adopt her. Please be aware, though, that her ongoing medical may be expensive, but this shouldn't stop you from falling in love with this pretty lady!

Lady Marmalade:
Female orange and white tabby DSH
Estimated DOB 08/2020

Lady M is an overall very relaxed and independent cat but has a lot of personality and many quirks. She enjoys pets and sleeping in boxes. She can be timid in new environments, but warms up quickly.

We have discovered that Lady M has pretty severe asthma. We have tried an inhaler for her, but it was not helping her as much as oral steroids were. She's currently on an oral steroid Prednisolone (a tiny pill that she is fantastic at taking) twice a day. The medication is incredibly cheap, but she will need to have periodic veterinary care for continued management of the medication and ensure there are no other concerns. Any adopter will need to be committed to providing her with this for the rest of her life.

Backstory: Lady Marmalade was abandoned outside and found by a volunteer at a veterinary clinic. This kind volunteer took her under her wing and got her vetted and back to good health.

Housing information: Marmalde tends to be a fairly independent cat who enjoys lounging around all day. She has lived with other cats and never turns down an opportunity to cuddle with a cat friend. She has been around dogs, but overly active dogs can spook her. If meets a calmer dog, she will gladly rub up against them and say hello.

Location: She is currently in foster care.

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age approriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.
