Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Martini is a little baby! At about 4 years old and a measly 40 or so pounds, she is as SWEET as honey; and is only initially hesitant with strangers, she warms up pretty quickly. Martini loves to be talked to, given kind pets, and loved on gently. Due to her former breeding-lifestyle, she is lacking amazing socialization skills, but she is very friendly all around. She LOVES having a canine companion, and we believe she would benefit greatly by having one around. Otherwise, we believe she will adjust to living in just about any home; plus at her small-medium size, she is the PERFECT fit into just about any! We've noticed she never messes in her kennel, and never fails to greet those she warms up to with the wiggliest butt and happy tail. She is as docile as can be, and surely as sweet as can be; and is the type of girl who will adore cuddles on the sofa, and nice brisk walks at dusk. We imagine her being one of the best girls ever. Martini - Weenie has been doing phenomenally in her foster home, where she's slowly but surely shown such AMAZING progress on all of her skills; we sure are hoping to find her a forever family to show her the same sort of love! Martini ADORES romps outside in the fenced in areas, and playing the most fun game of 'catch me if you can' while she play bows and barks at you - it's ADORABLE!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
