My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet TILLIE (short for Matilda), a beautiful 9-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who is ready to spend her golden years in a loving forever home. Weighing about 17 pounds, Tillie has spent much of her life with a breeder, raising puppies. Now, it's her turn to be pampered and cherished. Love Schnauzers? Love (youthful) senior dogs? Love sweet dogs? Tillie is definitely your match.
This sweet girl is a bundle of love and loyalty. While she’s a bit shy at first, her gentle personality shines through as she bonds with her humans. She seems to particularly love men and has become her foster dad’s adorable shadow around the house!
What makes Tillie special? There are so many things! Tillie knows her manners and is fully housetrained. She is good with the other dogs in her foster home although not overly interested in playing with them yet (cats we are unsure but her gentle demeanour suggests she would be ok with dog savvy cats). She forms strong connections with her family, making her the perfect companion.
Tillie is still learning how to walk on a leash, so she will need a securely fenced yard where she can do her business and safely explore and stretch her legs while she learns how to navigate leash walking. Additionally, Tillie will need to be spayed as part of her transition to her new life of comfort and care. Her new family will have to be prepared to take her to one of our vets so this can be done at our expense.
Her ideal family will have patience as she continues to adjust to her new life and will shower her with love and security. Tillie would make a wonderful family member for a family who wants a snuggle buddy, and a sweet presence to enhance their home.
Are you ready to give this lovely lady the forever home she deserves? Apply for Tillie today and start your journey toward a lifetime of love and companionship.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue and rehome unwanted, abandoned, abused and unloved pets that find themselves alone and frightened in shelters. These animals give unconditional love and should receive the same love back. Unfortunately there is a need and while ever there is a need we will be there to help. Our long term goal is to build towards the opening of our own shelter and be able to help with behavioral issues, special needs, and to offer a haven to less adoptable pets. We are always very thankful for any pet related donations to assist the animals in our care
