Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mia is a former mama cat who is ready to be spoiled! She has a timid side in keeping with a rough past, but her foster family has also told us that she loves catching treats out of the air, cuddling at your feet, and getting belly rubs. She is a quiet cat (unless it`s dinner time) but will be sure to let you know she wants pets with big head bumps and purrs. Mia would appreciate a home that can give a her a little space to settle in, but once comfortable she is a tolerant girl who doesn`t mind being picked up and held. Mia has lived with other cats before and, with proper intros, may do well with your resident cats.

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
