Dexter’s recently expanded family included some very severe allergies to cats, and their parents had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender him. Dexter is a people cat. He loves to wind between legs and climb on laps. Back scratches, face/neck scratches, belly rubs...he'll gladly take them all. Dex is a fan of feathered catnip toys, scratch pads and cat trees. He also loves snacks. At his vet visit, he came in at full chonk 25 lbs. Dexter is getting good exercise in his foster home but will need a strong-willed family that won't give in to his sweet face asking for treats. People are his passion. Don't like using the bathroom alone? He's got you. Have to shower? He'll wait on the other side of the curtain. While he loves his people, he had dog siblings as well. In a new environment with adult cats, he is both curious and afraid. The introduction took some time and patience. Dexter is a big ball of love and ready to share that with a new family.
