Hi, everyone. My name is stella mccartney and I am a dairy special Bassett Hound mix puppy that was born the middle of October to a pure bred Bassett Hound mom. Me and my siblings were born in the woods where the man who owned my mom was living in a tent and down on his luck. He contacted a foster of Critter Cavalry Rescue, and she came to pick us up a few weeks ago and help us get our shots and worming and our spays and neuters done. I am living in a terrific foster home that is allowing me to run and play in the yard and in the house, and to also be mentored by their adult dogs who are showing me the ropes. My foster mom laughs at me because she says I am fearless. It seems that one of the adult dogs really doesn't like me and my sister very much because of our puppy energy, but I still persevere trying to get him to like me. My foster mom says I don't take no for an answer. I am a happy girl and very excited about meeting a new family soon. We are going to have so much fun running in the backyard and letting me.Sniff and play and explore and cuddle. I can do all of those things really well and I promise to make some family's life extremely happy. Please read up on the bassett, hound traits, and be sure that you can give me the best life ever. Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
