My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koda (A134187) is a 1-year-and-1-month-old Maremma Sheepdog who weighed 81.5 pounds on intake!

01/08/25 This handsome big boy is Koda! Koda was surrendered to the shelter because his owner realized that they could not provide him with the space and attention he needed to live his best life. Koda had started to herd the children in the home and is looking for a home that can provide him with a job. He may do best in a home without young children because of this behavior. Koda was described as outgoing, friendly, and affectionate! He was said to do well with other dogs but has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all new friends. Koda was said to be housebroken and to know a few basic commands like sit and laydown! He is still young and eager to learn! We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and to learn another trick or two! Koda was known to have a few naughty habits like digging and chewing. He hopes to find a home that can provide him with outlets for his energy! If you are interested in meeting Koda, please let us know!
