Ruth was rescued from the street by a fellow dog lover when she was an estimated 3 months old. I then adopted her from her rescue mom a month later hoping to expand my dog family. 6 months later it is not working out. My older dog is not used to sharing attention and the two of them have been fighting. Rehoming is a last resort for Ruth’s sake, as she often gets scratched up in the fights. Ruth is currently at a training kennel to give her a break from my other dog while I search for a forever home. Ruth is not the one to start fights with my other dog, but she will not back down. She has done well with other dogs and loves to play.
She’s a fantastic dog—resilient, joyful, smart, energetic, easy to train and a great sleeper! If I could keep her I would!
I would recommend a household without cats and a household with other dogs may require a trial foster period or several introductory meetings. She likes kids and all people but is still learning not to jump and play with teeth.
