Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buttons is looking for nothing more than patience, love, companionship, and cuddles. At about a year and a half old, this little guy has a surprisingly chill demeanor but definitely enjoys his bursts of energy with zoomies, jumps, runs, dances, and playful chases! At around 11 pounds, his antics are all fun and no hassle.
Although Buttons is a bit shy with strangers at first, he always warms up and indulges in all the love they have to offer, reciprocating with plenty of sweet kisses! Once he feels at home and comfortable, his happy place is likely snuggled right next to someone he loves, napping under a blanket and feeling as content as can be.
Buttons LOVES other dogs, especially those close to his size, ignores cats, and has done wonderfully with the kids volunteering at the shelter. This sweet boy already has some basic skills under his belt, paired with his irresistible puppy-dog eyes!
We believe Buttons will thrive in just about any home willing to provide the time, patience, and understanding he needs to adjust. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s equal parts chill and playful, Buttons might just be your perfect match!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
