My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Itsy Bitsy Hoppy, the sweetest little girl under the sun. At about 2 years old, and only about 20 pounds, Hoppy feels most content when she's in a lap, or being gently petted. This darling girl gets along well with other dogs, and cats, too! Hoppy got her name, well that's just because she's happy, happy, happy! There are no words to describe the way Hoppy can make any heart feel so full, and warm; just the simple act of showing her the love she's always deserved is beyond rewarding, let alone when she does the same in return. Hoppy was definitely someone's well-loved sweet girl, as she knows everything and anything to being the perfect companion; from house-training to lap lovin! We can't get enough of Hoppy, and we know you won't be able to, either! She can never get enough snuggles, pets, or cuddles in with those she loves!

Hoppy is currently Heartworm Positive, however, we're beginning the pre-treatment stages, and she's scheduled for treatment, which we will be covering for any local adopters, willing to make the trip to our contracted veterinarian. With that said, if you're not-so local, but would like your own vet to treat her, we are just as ecstatic!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
