My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max (A137082) is a 12-year-old Standard Poodle who weighed 53.5 pounds on intake!

01/01/25 This super sweet senior boy is Max! Max was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own and is now looking for a new place to live out the remainder of his golden years! Max was said to be going blind and was seen by the shelter vet for a senior exam. Max does not seem uncomfortable or painful in his eyes, but he desperately needed a groom! He has now been given a fully body haircut and looks stunning! And he knows how to pull off just about any coat you put on him! In his last home he was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to ride well in a car! He was said to do wonderful with people of all ages including children! Max has been a wonderful pup here at the shelter and enjoys getting doted on by the care staff! Max did previously live with another dog and was said to do great with dogs! He was said to be fearful of cats. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any new potential friends! If you are interested in meeting this delightful older guy, please let us know!
